COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the automotive and supply industry in a previously unknown dimension. This time of crisis has shown that companies with the right leaders can better navigate their company through times of uncertainty and difficulty. After the hard shutdown last year, companies have started a soft restart in the production, but production has not yet fully reached the level prior to the start of the pandemic and sales volume in the sector is still decreasing. To find new market opportunities and to be able to face the challenges for the automotive industry times like these are the right moment to invest in your education. By upgrading your skills and knowledge now you will have a competitive edge and will be ready once the sector really takes off again.

In order to support emerging leaders in the automotive sector TU Wien is offering two “ReStart Scholarships” for the next program start. TU Wien is already looking back on 10 years’ experience in focused MBA-programs on the automotive industry and is happy to launch a brand new and updated MBA Automotive Industry, opens an external URL in a new window to train the new generation of leaders in the automotive industry.

Take the opportunity to get the knowledge, skills and edge to be a better business leaders and decision-maker and apply now. The next MBA Automotive Industry, opens an external URL in a new window program starts on June 7, 2021. In order to give an opportunity for high level academic education to qualified and motivated persons fulfilling the admission requirements two ReStart Scholarships in the amount of EUR 9,130 each will be awarded.

Selection Criteria:

  • High motivation for participation in the MBA
  • Fulfillment of admission requirements
  • Financial need (preferably self-payers)

Application Documents: 

  • Curriculum Vitae 
  • Motivation Letter
  • Detailed explanation of why the scholarship is needed from a financial point of view
  • Certificates and diplomas of academic degrees already obtained as well as high school certificate (copies, certified German or English translation in case of non-German language certificates)
  • Copy of passport

Please send your application documents in English to mba@tuwien.ac.at by March  21, 2021 the latest.

The scholarship will be awarded by a jury. The retention for a “ReStart Scholarship" is EUR 18,270 plus the cost of trips & overnight stays. There is no legal recourse. The winners will be informed.

The Continuing Education Center permanently strives to support women and women’s advancements in their careers. The next MBA Automotive Industry program starts on June 7, 2021. In order to give an opportunity for high level academic education to qualified and motivated women, we will award a "Women in Leadership Scholarship" in the amount of EUR 13,700.

Selection criteria:

Individuals need to hold a first academic degree and have at least 3 years of professional experience. Other criteria are the career progression as well as clear ambition and high motivation for participating in the MBA Automotive Industry Program.

Selection procedure:

Qualified applicants will be invited to an admission interview with the Academic Director and the Program Management. The deductible is EUR 13,700 plus travel and accommodation expenses. There is no right of appeal.
