Accreditation by ASIIN

The ASIIN ("Accreditation Agency Specialized in Accrediting Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics") is one of the most important quality assurance institutions for technical and scientific study programs in the German-speaking countries. In addition, the ASIIN accredits and advises institutes of higher education throughout the whole of Europe.

The seal of quality of the ASIIN is awarded to educational programs that are particularly worthy of being singled out due to their quality, as well as the sustainable and innovative nature of their content. For this reason, in assessing the quality of a course of study, consideration is given not merely to the logic and efficiency of the qualification process itself, but also to the success of its graduates. In addition, the ASIIN seal of quality is confirmation that all the requirements and quality characteristics of an international master’s program are met, and it thus has the effect of enhancing the degrees awarded in terms of the international recognition accorded them.

The Vienna University of Technology is the first Austrian university to be awarded this ASIIN-seal of quality for its postgraduate program "MSc Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe".
