TU-Ball 2015 – with the Viennese Waltz into the anniversary year

200 years Vienna University of Technology

By tradition the TU-Ball was celebrated on the last Thursday in January in the Wiener Hofburg. Science and Engineering where united once more on the dance floor – international and national guests from the world of science, economics and politics danced next to students and researchers.

The Continuing Education Center had this year again the pleasure to invite the ball guests to the CEC Lounge. A popular meeting point for students, alumni and faculty members. In relaxing atmosphere the guests enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine and musical entertainment by the Jazz Trio Boston Heat.

Another highlight of the TU-Ball was the premiere of the TU-Anniversary-Waltz, which was composed on the occasion of the 200-year anniversary of the Vienna University of Technology. The composer Lorenzo Ferrero combines in his piece modern elements with traditional sounds of waltz – entirely in line with the TU-Motto: 200 Jahre Zukunft.

At 5:00 o’clock in the morning a joyful evening came to its end with the final waltz.
