Do not miss the ETIA Talks III last panel discussion of the season on „ TTIP and GMOs: Resource Revolution or Unnecessary Evil?”

ETIAtalks is an initiative by students of the the Vienna University of Technology and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, which serves as a forum to explore and discuss current issues in the fields of energy, environment and related technologies.

The third panel discussion under this years’ umbrella topic „Sustainable Agriculture“ will take place on April 30th 2015 at 18:30 in the Festsaal of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. For further details please click HERE.

This panel discussion aims to critically debate and evaluate the possible economic consequences that the inflow of GM goods as well as the local cultivation of GM crops could have on the European market in general and on the agricultural industries more specifically in case of a concluded TTIP agreement. It will discuss how European farmers and consumers could be affected, and whether it could threaten the stringency of existing EU consumer protection standards.
