At the TU Ball for the very first time… an ETIA student reports

On the last day of our first semester, a group of ETIA students attended the TU Ball in the Hofburg Palace. Having come to the end of an intense few weeks of exams and presentations, we were all ready to celebrate before taking a well-earned break. This was my first time attending a ball in the Hofburg Palace and I was particularly impressed by the scale, as at least 10 different ball rooms had been opened for one of Vienna's biggest annual balls. Of particular interest was the CEC lounge, in which the CEC had generously provided us with a free glass of Sekt. We were also able to talk with other CEC students and members of the faculty. Other rooms that we spent time in included the main two waltzing rooms and the salsa room downstairs. At midnight all of the female attendees received a special gift. Before leaving, we headed to the Main Hall to take part in a group dance. Whilst a lot of us had never done this before, we were helped along by our fellow TU students. We would all like to thank the organisers and the CEC for helping to create such a memorable event!
