Iranian Delegation at Energiepark Bruck/Leitha

Initiated by the Energy Globe initiator – Wolfgang Neumann – an international delegation from Iran visited Energiepark Bruck/Leitha. Currently Iran has about 10 % of the oil in place and 15 % of the gas in place worldwide. Based on that resources Iran is the second largest exporter within OPEC and number 4 in producing oil worldwide.

So far Iran currently has – in contrast to Austria – only about 0.7 % share in renewable energy. In other words: a great potential for improvement.

And that is the main goal of the Iranian delegation round counsellor Kazem Mohammadi. Present in person have been General Director Masoud Nassiri (Middle East Water & Environment), M. Kazem (CEO and Member of Board Green Leasing), Mohammad Hassan Emami (Iranian Society for Green Management), Mahdi Alfaghih (East Azarbaijan Water and Waste Water CO.), H.Modaresifar (Mobarakeh Steel Company) and Mohsen Bisheh (Isfahan Water & Wastewater Company).

After getting a detailed portrait of the activities of Energiepark Bruck/Leitha, the delegation had “classic” excursions to renewable energy sites, e.g. wind turbines, biogas plant and district heating plant. The Iranian colleagues were especially interested in the bio-algae plant Ecoduna. The feedback was very positive. Just an interesting little detail, by the way: Photos of Bruck´s “Cordless Screwdriver Run” made the delegation laugh.
