Vienna tops quality of living ranking for the tenth consecutive time


Vienna has done it again: for the tenth consecutive time, the Austrian capital is the world's most liveable city according to the latest Mercer study.

"In addition to a stable political and social environment, the Austrian capital scores above all by very good medical care, a varied cultural and leisure activities and a very high number of international schools," said Mercer in a statement the best placement in Vienna: "A low crime rate and an excellent supply of high-quality housing, both in and around the city, have helped Vienna defend its leading position once again. "

Behind Vienna comes Zurich, followed by Vancouver, Munich and Auckland sharing a third place. The places six to ten are occupied by Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Geneva and Basel.
