Successful start of the Professional MBA Automotive Industry!


On March 5, 2009 the postgraduate program Professional MBA Automotive Industry started for the first time. This international program is conducted by Vienna University of Technology in cooperation with STU Bratislava - the 23 participants are from 8 nations.

The ceremony was opened by Vice Rector Hans Kaiser, Vienna University of Technology. In his welcome speech he congratulated the students on their decision to choose this MBA Program and stressed the importance of further education.

Vice Rector Frantisek Janicek, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, spoke about the successful research activities of his University.

Mag. (FH), Peter Kuen, Clustermanager Automotive Cluster Vienna Region, emphasized the importance of further education in the field of automotive and related industries especially in times of economic downturn. Therefore he welcomed that so many participants attend the MBA Program.

Univ.Prof.Dr. Wilfried Sihn (TU Vienna) and Univ.Prof.Dr. Jan Lesinky (STU Bratislava) introduced each postgraduate student individually to the audience. Afterwards they both spoke about the uniqueness of the Professional MBA Automotive Industry (cross-border, delivered by EU,  modules in Austria and Slovakia, first MBA for manager in the field of automotive and related industries).
