DER STANDARD awarded a scholarship for the General Management MBA

Happy winner, pleased jury

DI Robert Berger is the happy winner of the scholarship, which was awarded by the daily newspaper DER STANDARD for the postgraduate Program General Management MBA.

Due to a number of qualified applications decision making was a difficult job for the selection committee, which consisted of Univ.Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Aussenegg, Mag. Sabine Schnetzinger (both TU Vienna), Dr. Andrea Höltl (Danube University Krems) as well as Dr. Marie Luise Buxbaum (Managing Director of Beraterzentrum Dorotheergasse) and Johannes Zimmerl (Director of Corporate Human Resources at REWE Austria AG). Finally the judging panel was convinced by the performance of DI Robert Berger during the hearing and awarded to him the scholarship in the amount of € 18.900.

The Alumnus of TU Graz actually works as an IT-project manager at TGW Systems Integration in Wels. Because of the international economic crisis an education in the basics of business administration is very important for the graduated Telematics technician both to safeguard his job as well as to be prepared professionally for upcoming management tasks. Concerning the forthcoming of his career the father of a one year old daughter will remain in the field of technology, but for the future he is eager to take the chance to get a management position with new responsibilities in business and law.

DI Berger is curious about the program, which will start on October 9, 2009, for the 10th time. He is looking forward to using the contents of the modules Management incl. Project Management and Corporate Finance in his daily work. Moreover an important fact for him is to exchange knowledge with his future classmates in order to get to know different methods of problem solving.
