In 2008 the factory produced 188,000 vehicles with 7,800 employees.

After the introduction and the lecture the tour of the factory started from body shop. In the quality control area the bodies are inspected for fit and surface. The next stop of the tour was the material testing laboratory whose task is to analyze problems that occurs for customers. In the power train hall the power trains for the models produced at the factory as well as transmissions for Skoda, as a whole more than 20 different variants of engines and axle are produced here. The last hall in the tour was the final assembly line of the car.

Participants had a possibility to exercise lean activities with the trainers of the Volkswagen Slovakia afterwards. They tried to optimize the production process and learned about the optimization process.

It was a good chance for the participants to feel and smell the atmosphere of a German automotive company in Slovakia.
