A success story par excellence

“Renewable Energy in Central and Eastern Europe” MSc Program – Info Session on May 3, 2010

Renewable energy is the boom segment of the energy industry, and there are currently very few vocational courses on offer in Europe that relate to this. However, the demand for practice-based know-how is constantly increasing. In the words of Univ.Prof. Reinhard Haas, Academic Director: "Renewable energy sources and more efficient use of energy are the key to reshaping our economy in a sustainable manner. The aim of this postgraduate MSc Program is to make a meaningful contribution to this process."

This challenge has been met by the inter-disciplinary “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” MSc Program of the Vienna University of Technology. The program is designed for those in full-time employment and is a pioneering venture in this field for Central and Eastern Europe. We are very pleased to announce that, due to the high demand, we shall be commencing our seventh course of study featuring this particular postgraduate program as early as October 2010.

In the scope of an Info Session on May 3, 2010, 6.00 pm, the MSc Program will be presented at the Vienna University of Technology. The Program Management will answer any questions you might have (please register under newenergy@tuwien.ac.at).

Our MSc Program is intended for an international target group and is offered in modular form as a continuing education course for those in full-time employment. Currently there are over 120 highly qualified participants and alumni from all over Europe, as well as Iran, Ukraine, Malaysia, Uruguay, the USA and Canada.

As well as being taught in Vienna and Bruck/Leitha (Austria), the MSc Program is run by means of country modules in Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland and Ukraine.
