Grant of 50%-scholarship “Emerging Markets” 2009 for General Management MBA

Lucky winner comes from the Ukraine


It is a matter of concern of Vienna University of Technology and Danube University Krems to award one scholarship for qualified persons originated in “Emerging Markets”. This specialised grant will give individuals the possibility to get further academic education, to perfect their knowledge in the German language and to achieve intercultural social skills in order to get well-trained managers. By granting this scholarship both universities support the education of excellent managers from especially Eastern and South-eastern European countries.

This year the 50%-scholarship “Emerging Markets” for the General Management MBA Program was announced again for graduates from CEE. The jury which consists of representatives from both co-operation partners of the General Management MBA Program awarded the scholarship in the amount of EUR € 10.450,- unanimously to Dipl.-Ing. Yuri Morgunov.

Mr. Morgunov was born in the Ukraine and has been studying Computer Sciences at Odessa National Polytechnic University, Ukraine. After hist first practical experiences in the Ukraine he has been working for several years in Munich as an IT-Consultant. In 2008 he moved to Vienna and works since then as an Project Manager Business Change & IT EM at Zürich Insurance Company. It is very important for him to archieve professional knowledge in business administration and law as in order to foster his career. Further he is looking forward to exchanging her professional experiences with the other attendees of the program.
