Congratulations to new Engineering Managers


After almost one and half years 9 students of the MSc Program Engineering Management finished successfully their MSc study. On December 9, 2010 the graduation ceremony of the MSc Program Engineering Management was held in the Boeckl Hall of the Vienna University of Technology.

Vice Rector for International Affairs, Hans Kaiser, welcomed the graduates and their guests and spoke about the current efforts of the Vienna University of Technology to be successful in research and education. In his festive speech he expressed the importance of the continuing education for the graduates with engineering background to extend and deepen the knowledge of economics as well as legal issues and the role of the Continuing Education Center of the Vienna University of Technology offering high class MBA as well as MSc Programs which combine the economical and technical knowledge.

After Mr. Kaltseis swore the oath, the actual graduation ceremony started with awarding the academic title “Master of Science in Engineering Management”. On behalf of Almuni Mr. Willis looked back the last three semesters and spoke about the importance of engineering managers, because  the role of an engineer has changed and more than just technical skills are needed. Lastly he expressed the sincere thanks to all people who supported them during the program.

Based on the evaluation of the students during the program six professors were selected as the best lecturer to whom “The best lecturer Award” was handed over.
The Continuing Education Center of the Vienna University of Technology and the Academic Program Director Peter Kopacek congratulates its alumni and wishes all the best for the future.
