First study trip abroad brought MSc ETIA students to Munich

Exciting program with very good feed-back to be repeated next year

From October 28th to 29th, 2010 the MSc ETIA students went on a study trip to Germany. Right after arriving Munich main station and a short luggage drop-down in the hostel next door the first destination was the Technische Universität München (TUM) in Garching. The highlight was the Visit Simulation at the Institute of Vehicle Engineering where the students could try to drive a truck in a simulation cabine – might have caused some accidents in reality…
The same evening a reception at the Residence of the Austrian consulate in Munich took place with a warm welcome by general consul Dr. Pech and a drink.
The second day started with an impressive tour through BMW World. Most of the construction is done by roboters. The last visit was to  MTU Aero Engines in Dachau, Germany's leading engine manufacturer. Numerous engines were exposed in the museum next door.
In the late afternoon students travelled back to Vienna by train. The feed-back was that great that this study trip is going to be repeated with next year´s ETIA class.
