This year already for the third time the daily newspaper KURIER awarded scholarships for the Professional MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center of the TU Wien and the WU Executive Academy. The Program Management received a lot of outstanding applications and on May 30, 2011 the four best qualified candidates were invited to a hearing at the Palais Schönborn.

The jury consisted of Univ.Prof. Dr. Sabine T. Köszegi (Academic Director, TU Wien), Mag. Nicole Thurn (Journalist, Career Department, KURIER) and Ramtin Ghasemipour-Yazdi, MBA, BSc (CEO Digispectrum Media Technology & Services GmbH and graduate of this MBA program). Due to the convincing presentations of all candidates it was very difficult for the jury to come to a decision. Finally the KURIER partial scholarships in the amount of EUR 14,000 each were awarded to Mag. Birgit Oburger and Dipl.-Ing.(FH) Dr. Walter Rosinger.

Mag. Birgit Oburger studied Music Education and German Language, worked abroad for several years and is now Assistant to the CEO at the Austrian Road Safety Board. Dipl.-Ing.(FH) Dr. Walter Rosinger finished both his studies Automotive Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with distinction. As Area Manager “Technology” at Magna Powertrain AG & Co KG he is also responsible for innovation management. Both scholarship holders are looking forward to acquiring know-how focused on entrepreneurship and innovation and to exchanging ideas with other international participants.

Applications for the Professional MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation are still possible until June 30, 2011. For detailed information please go to www.tu-wu-innovation.at.
