First big step towards a bright future!

The third Professional MBA Automotive Industry program started successfully with 19 participants from 7 countries!


On September 28, 2011 the Professional MBA Automotive Industry started for the third time with a Welcome Reception. 19 participants from 7 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Saudi Arabia and USA) joined the in Europe unique and accredited MBA program for automotive and component supply industries.

Univ.Prof.Dr. Adalbert Prechtl, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the Vienna University of Technology, opened the ceremony and welcomed students, lecturers, and guests. After the introduction of the university and its efforts providing an excellent continuing education programs he congratulated the decision to choose the program and encourage the participants to give efforts.

The Vice Rector for Education of the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava, Assoc.Prof.Ing. Frantisek Hornak, PhD also welcomed the students and guests and spoke about the excellent co-operation between two universities and research activities of the STU.

Mag.(FH) Peter Kuen, Mobility Cluster of the Vienna Business Agency spoke about the background of the EU funded program and the importance and necessity of the continuing education in the field of automotive and components supply industries.

Univ.Prof.Dr. Wilfried Sihn (Academic Director, TU Vienna) introduced each student individually and expressed the uniqueness and specials of the Professional MBA Automotive Industry (good balance between theory and practice, business evenings with opinion leaders, excursions and on-site lectures at OEMs, etc.). Univ.Prof.Dr. Jan Lesinky (Academic Director, STU Bratislava) spoke about the structure and contents of the program (first MBA for manger in the field of automotive and related industries, cross-border program with important intercultural aspects, modules in Austria and Slovakia, etc.).

The team of CEC/TU Vienna and STU Bratislava wishes all their students good luck for the upcoming four semesters.
