4. IFM-Congress at the Vienna University of Technology

Science meets Practice


For the fourth time, the IFM Congress will be taking place on November 24 and 25, 2011 at the Vienna University of Technology. Current trends in research and best practices in Facility Management from companies will be discussed under the theme “Science meets Praxis”.

The who is who of the industry will join the congress to discuss the following topics:
•    Process and IT-optimization
•    Innovative workplace design
•    Sustainability in FM


The first day is dedicated to lectures from the practical side and case studies such as why FM is important for SAP Austria or process optimization and IT-support as cost and quality driver in a hospital association. Another session will be discussing innovative workplace strategies and the cost and benefit of innovative offices. Parallel to these sessions Mag. Adexlinger will tak about sustainability in FM, followed by Mr. Dillingers input about FM and smart cities. The first day will conclude with a keynote by Dr. Valentin Hofstätter of Raiffaisen Bank International AG on the world economy and its implications for the Facility and Real Estate Manager. On the second day scientific research about FM-related issues will be presented after a discussion round on current trends in FM.


The 4th IFM Congress will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about current trends and developments in the domain of Facility Management, to get in contact with opinion leaders and trend-setters from the industry and to enlarge their personal network.
