Two OMV Scholarships for MSc „Renewable Energy“

OMV, Central Europe´s leading oil and gas company, again awards two scholarships in the amount of EUR 13,000 each to the outstanding MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” to participants from CEE/SEE countries.


For the eighth time OMV awarded scholarships for the MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center of the TU Wien and the Energiepark Bruck/Leitha. The Program Management received several outstanding applications and on July 9, 2012 the five best qualified candidates were invited to a hearing.
 
The jury consisted of Univ.Prof. Dr. Reinhard Haas (Academic Director, TU Wien), Dr. Walter Böhme (Head of Innovation, OMV), DI Ralf Roggenbauer (Program Manager Energiepark Bruck/Leitha) and DI Andrea Würz (Program Manager, Continuing Education Center). Due to the convincing presentations of all candidates it was very difficult for the jury to come to a decision. Finally the the OMV scholarships in the amount of EUR 13,000 each were awarded to Mgr. Michaela Chocholova from the Czech Republic and Mgr. Marek Rohon from Slovakia.
 
Michaela Chocholova
is expert for monitoring of grid operations. She studied at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and at the Charles University in Prag.
Marek Rohon studied at the Comenius University in Bratsilava. Formerly he worked as a project manager at E.ON and now want to start his comeback to the energy sector.
Both scholarship holders look forward to acquiring know-how focused on renewable energy and to exchanging ideas with other international participants.
