Career paths, tasks and requirements – new occupational profile brochure has been released

The occupational profile of a facility manager offers various career opportunities – but only if they are recognized and used if you have the relevant information. The new occupational profile brochure “Facility Manager” which was recently published by the industry associations of Germany, Austria and Switzerland follows this guiding principle.

The guide uses the international term of facility management as a discipline which plans and controls supporting processes and organizes their implementation for various core processes in industrial and service companies as well as in public organizations and institutions.

The ever-increasing importance of the facility management industry offers great career opportunities for highly qualified employees. Therefore, the new guide provides information about tasks, fields of application, competency requirements, qualification opportunities, networks and levels of responsibility in facility management.

The brochure can be downloaded for free from the websites of the associations or  obtained as a printed copy from the offices:  www.fma.or.at, www.fmpro-swiss.ch, www.gefma.de, www.ifma.ch, www.ifma.at, www.realfm.de, www.reug.org.

The association REUG (Real Estate User Group) was also involved in the preparation of the guide. Their founding member Univ.Prof. Dr. Alexander Redlein is also academic director of the Professional MBA Facility Management offered by the Vienna University of Technology.
