PRESSE Scholarship for MSc Program „Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe“

The scholarship of the daily newspaper DIE PRESSE in the amount of 14,000 EUR for the outstanding MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” was awarded to Johannes Wahlmüller on June 24, 2013.

He sticks out of numerous applicants and finally persuaded the jury. The PRESSE expert jury consisted of Andreas Tanzer (DIE PRESSE), Reinhard Haas (TU Vienna), Karin Mottl (Energiepark Bruck/Leitha) and Andrea Würz (Continuing Education Center).

With the background of studies in Social Economics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz Johannes Wahlmüller started his career at Umweltdachverband and 2010 switched to GLOBAL 2000, where he is currently working as energy and policy campaigner.

The MSc “Renewable Energy in CEE” would enable the 31 years old man to play a constructive role in development of renewable energy projects and as well as energy policy in Austria and on international level. Being the winner of the PRESSE Scholarship he gets a step closer to his goal.

The MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” which Johannes Wahlmüller will participate in, starts on October 3, 2013 and has a duration of four semesters. The language of instruction is English.
