Summer – Sun – Country Module „Turkey“


All the country modules of MSc "Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe"

During summer Turkey attracts with sun and holiday feeling. In the MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe” Turkey will attract next year in June with a new country module in the field of renewable energy.

Turkey is a booming market for renewable energy technologies, and the natural and economic preconditions in this country could hardly be any better. In the new country module of the MSc “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe”, offered by the Continuing Education Center (TU Vienna) in cooperation with Energiepark Bruck/Leitha, get their money´s worth.

First a general overview of the energy system in Turkey will be given as an introduction, followed by a main part that covers the legal and economic framework conditions for renewable energy projects there. This in turn is followed by experts who will explain how they experienced implementing renewable energy projects in Turkey. Excursions will lead the students to several power plants. The universities engaged in are Bahcesehir University (Istanbul) and Ege University (Izmir).

This country module “Turkey” will be offered within the scope of the MSc program “Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe”. Detailed information on this outstanding MSc program - starting on October 3, 2013 for the tenth time – you´ll find at newenergy.tuwien.ac.at.
