A Woman Scholarship and a SME Scholarship of the Vienna Business Agency

On the initiative of the Mobility Cluster of the Vienna Business Agency the Continuing Education Center of the Vienna University of Technology is offering together with Slovak Technical University in Bratislava a unique and internationally accredited MBA Program for the automotive and component supply industry. The Professional MBA Automotive Industry  (http://automotive.tuwien.ac.at) offers a balanced combination between the theory and the praxis to train automotive managers to cope with the present and future demands of a global industry. Knowledge of automotive technology, as well as business subjects with a special focus on production and logistics, are key success factors in the automotive industry.

With a Woman Scholarships and a SME Scholarship in the amount of EUR 5,000.- for each the Vienna Business Agency supports a talented woman and a professional from Small-Medium Enterprises (SME) in Vienna. Finally based on the professional background and motivation the jury which consisted of Univ. Prof. Dr. Wilfried Sihn (Academic Director, Vienna University of Technology), Mag. (FH) Peter Kuen (Cluster manager, Mobility cluster of the Vienna Business Agency) and Dr. Man Wook Han (Program Manager, Vienna University of Technology) selected Ms. Alexandra Steiner for the Woman Scholarship and Mr. Tod Rees for the SME Scholarship.

Ms. Alexandra Steiner studied the Business and Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.  She has started working in the automotive industry as student employee at Siemens VDO. With more than the 7 years’ experience in the automotive industry she is now a sales manager at the Continental Automotive Austria. Mr. Tod Rees, USA studied at the University of Arizona and is currently working as a steel trader at the F. J. Elsner Trading in Vienna.

The Vienna Business Agency and the Program Team congratulate the winners and wish a big success for their study and their future career development.
