"Die Presse" scholarship awarded for the eigth time to MSc ETIA student


 „I just came back from a great internship at the embassy of Pretoria/South-Africa last week. I am very happy to receive this scholarship today“ explained Christina Tirler. She is the winner of the scholarship awarded by the daily newspaper "Die Presse" for the MSc postgraduate program ETIA – Environmental Technology and International Affairs“ for the eigth time.
On the occasion of presenting the certificate to the winner on July 18, 2014, Prof. Hans Puxbaum and Prof. Gerhard Loibl, Academic Directors, highlightened Tirler´s motivation and international experience which persuaded the jury.

Christina Tirler recently graduated as Dipl-Ing. from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, where she finshed her Master´s studies in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning with distinction.

This MSc Program was installed in 2007 as a unique cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and TU Vienna. Graduates of technical studies are supposed to get an overview about the political and legal frame of environmental technology, whereas lawyers, economists and graduates from other studies should get acquainted with the technical basics (focus on: air, water and waste as well as energy, climate and sustainable development).
Late applications for the ETIA Program starting in October 2014 are still possible (on waiting list).
