Prof. Franke gives keynote at the 1.Austrian SME Congress

On November 7, the first event of the so called “Initiative Mittelstand” (Austrian Initiative of Small and Medium-sized Businesses)  took place in Vienna.
The aim of the initiative is to make the performance of small and medium sized businesses more visible to public.  Prof. Nikolaus Franke gave a keynote at the event where he underlined the ability of small and medium sized businesses to be particularly innovative. Other speakers at the event were the vice chancellor Dr. Reinhold Mitterlehner, Peter Haubner (General Secretary of the Austrian Economic League), Prof. Hermann Simon (Simon, Kucher und Partner), Federal Minister Sebastien Kurz as well as the president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

Innovation is a topic that is in the center of the Professional MBA Entrepreneurship & Innovation, jointly carried out by the Vienna University of Economics & Business (WU) and the Vienna University of Technology. Prof. Franke is professor at WU and academic director at WU of this postgraduate MBA program. Further information can be found on the program website.
