University Meets Public: Lifelong Learning


From March 3-6, 2015 a focus week on "Life Long Learning: Opportunities and Challenges" will be held as part of the "University Meets Public" project. (Note: the lecture series will be held in German.)

The University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology, the Medical University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the Volkshochschulen Wien invite you to exciting lectures on the topics of knowledge, learning and training.

On 3 March 2015, the series will be opened by of Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christa Schnabl, University of Vienna, Vice Rector Unvi-Prof. Dr. Adalbert Prechtl, Technical University of Vienna, and Dr. Catherine Mallich-Pötz, Medical University of Vienna. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrike Felt's holds an opening lecture on “Knowledge, Skills, Responsible Behavior: Challenges of a Knowledge Society".
On the following three days scientists of the universities involved will give lectures on the latest findings on the topics of knowledge, learning and training.

We would especially like to draw your attention to the lecture on March 5, 2015: Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Bob Martens, Dean of Continuing Education, Vienna University of Technology and Mag. Petra Aigner, Managing Director, Continuing Education Center, Vienna University of Technology will discuss the "fuTUre – innovative continuing education at the Vienna University of Technology".

The attendance at all lectures is free. Note: all lectures will be held in German.
