TU Wien and Energiepark Bruck/Leitha support women and women’s advancement in careers and in the frame of the MSc program Renewable Energy in Central & Eastern Europe are offering a scholarship for female participants holding an academic degree in a relevant area of specialty and a minimum of two years professional experience. The jury – consisting of the Academic Director, Reinhard Haas, and representatives of the two cooperation partners, Karin Mottl and Andrea Würz – awarded this scholarship in the amount of EUR 6,500 to Alketa Maksuti.

Alketa Maksuti finished her Master in Physics at the University of Tirana (Albania). She started her study aged 34, after raising her two children. For a while she worked as a teacher for Mathematics and Physics and taught 13-18 years old children. Then she switched to the Institute of Food Safety and Veterinary in Tirana, a institute being part of the Ministry of Agriculture. There she currently works as the Secretary of Director.

The 44 years old Physician intends to change her job and get into the renewable energy sector. Her career objective after finishing the MSc Renewable Energy is to switch from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Energy, being ready to contribute her expertise in Physics, as well as the knowledge in the field of renewable energy.

This scholarship will help her to do a fine step forward.
