Build upon Our Knowledge: University Course “Sustainable Construction” begins on November 10, 2016

TU Wien and TU Graz jointly offer a Master’s study program.

Sustainable construction is an important trend in the construction industry, to which the technical universities in Vienna and Graz respond with their continuing education program offer. The aim of this university course is to generate awareness of holistic lifecycle-oriented approaches to construction based on the three-pillar model of sustainability.

Participants get knowledge about current methods, theories and empirical correlations as well as trends and tools in the construction sector. They learn about the theoretical foundations of sustainable management and study the comprehensive life cycle of a building.

DI Tobias Hutter, MEng, graduate of Master's course 2013-2015, says about his training: “The sustainability issue is currently expecting its big breakthrough in the construction industry. More and more people want to work and live in buildings that are in a positive relationship with their environment. The course offers a well-founded starting point for people committed to build a better world.”

This part-time study program is offered as a Master’s course (4 semesters) or as a certified course (2 semesters).

The next academic year starts on November 10, 2016.
