All eyes on sustainable development – 12th SDEWES Conference in Dubrovnik

The 12th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems – SDEWES Conference is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge on methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development by de-coupling growth from natural resources and replacing them with knowledge based economy, taking into account its economic, environmental and social pillars. It was held from Oct 04 to 08, 2017 on the famous touristic peninsula of Babin kuk in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The SDEWES Conference has become a significant venue for researcher to meet, discuss and disseminate new ideas on sustainable development. One of the key topics of the coming decade is how to improve efficiency, be it in the energy, water or environmental systems. Sustainability is also a perfect field for interdisciplinary and multi-cultural evaluation and discussion. Dr. Amela Ajanovic (lecturer of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems) and Prof. Reinhard Haas (Academic Director of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems) also participated in this renowned conference with their presentation "on the economics and environmental benignity of electric vehicles".
