CEC Field Trip New York City 2018 – Leadership & Real Estate Insights


Together with the alumni association of the real estate management programs (ImmoABS) and representatives of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Austria, the Continuing Education Center of TU Wien offers a study trip to New York City for the students and alumni of its postgraduate programs and members of RICS Austria.

Thu May 31, 2018 (arrival) – Thu June 7, 2018 (departure)

Content
The core of the study trip is the academic program offered by Long Island University (LIU). Renowned faculty members as well as experienced executives will offer lectures (3 hours each) covering the following leadership topics:
• Understanding your leadership style
• Improving your team dynamics and results
• Making decisions more confidently
• Leading in difficult situations
• Managing people
• Leading in a VUCA world
• Leadership ethics

Excursions
Members of ImmoABS and RICS Austria will organize interesting excursions to:
• Colliers International (tbc) or another renowned US real-estate agent
• an exciting construction site
• a renowned US property developer
• a renowned US property manager

Social Program
Besides free time for individual sightseeing or shopping etc. there will be:
• a Welcome Reception at the official residence of The Austrian Trade Commissioner
• a guided tour at the Austrian Cultural Forum
• an ImmoABS Get-together
• a Farewell Dinner

Certificates and Credits
All participants will receive a certificate of participation by LIU. In addition, RICS will acknowledge 21 CPD hours for the study trip.

There is also the possibility to earn 7 ECTS credits awarded by TU Wien. Participants who want to do so, have to prepare pre-readings and write an essay within 6 weeks after the study trip.

Accommodation
LIU offers single rooms or double rooms for single use in its dormitories on Brooklyn Campus. Please note that the pictures are only exemplaric. There is no breakfast included. Participants, who do not book a dormitory, are responsible for accommodation themselves.

Program Fee
There are two options for registration:

Option 1: The program fee for the study trip including the academic program, excursions, and the social program is EUR 2,000 (free of VAT).

Option 2: The program fee for the study trip including the academic program, excursions, the social program, and accommodation in the dormitory is EUR 2,300 (free of VAT).

Transportation to and in New York City as well as catering are not included.

Registration is possible until February 15, 2018. Registrations will be processed in the order of their arrival. The maximum number of participants is 30. Please register here.
