Wine and Austrian delicacies at Winery Markowitsch

Typical Austrian dinner and wine tasting at the local winery Markowitsch with the students of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems

The typical Austrian dinner with wine tasting is one of the highlights of the social side program of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems. In the scope of the first week in Bruck on the topic of biomass, biogas and biofuels, the visit to the winery Markowitsch in Göttelsbrunn has become a loved tradition.
Together with some employees of the Energiepark Bruck/Leitha, they enjoyed a tour around the wine cellar and the storage facilities of the winery Markowitsch with the former owner Johann Markowitsch. He walked them through the individual steps of the wine making process and answered all the questions they had.

After the tour everybody found a place around the table in the wine shop and the guests spent their time tasting wines and enjoying a typical Austrian Heurigen dinner with fresh bread, cold cuts and bread spreads. Before leaving, some students bought some bottles of wine to take home to remember this evening.

All in all it was great evening. The international students got to know better the Austrian cuisine and also the colleagues from our partner organization Energiepark Bruck/Leitha.
