Paul Royston is Head of Property Management and Development in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). The department is a leading provider of surveying education in the UK, offering  a range of bachelors and masters’ course, all accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Courses include Real Estate, Property Finance and Investment, and Planning and Development.


Paul is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and prior to joing NTU specialised in the investment market working in London for a pension fund and leading real estate consultants. Since commencing his career in education Paul has used this experience to good effect in lecturing extensively in real estate valution and investment appraisal.


Paul has a wealth of experience of masters’ education in Europe having managed and developed courses collaboratively with other instutions. He has delivered modules on a number of these MSc courses, including in Prague, Czech Republic, Warsaw, Poland, Oslo, Norway, Budapest, Hungary, Stuttgart, Germany and Valencia, Spain.  


Paul is looking forward to contributing to the MSc Immobilienmanagement & Bewertung at the TU by supporting your learning in the unit Immobilienbewertung nach angelsächsischen Grundsätzen. The unit is taught in English and Paul is sympathetic to the challenges that this presents.
